Terms of service.

The deal between you and twekes. We've kept it short, in plain English, and without dark patterns — but it's still a binding agreement.

EFFECTIVE: JUN 1, 2026 · LAST UPDATED: JUN 1, 2026
Heads up. This is a starting template written in plain English. Before twekes signs paying partners or processes payments at scale, this document should be reviewed by Lebanese counsel and updated to reflect any applicable consumer-protection, e-commerce, or data-protection law.

1. What twekes is.

twekes is a mobile + web platform that helps people in Lebanon find running clubs, coordinate runs, post and join solo training sessions, browse race events, contact running coaches, and discover partner venues like cafés, gyms, recovery rooms, and running stores. We refer to all of that, plus our website and mobile applications, as the "Service".

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are a legal agreement between you and twekes ("twekes", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use twekes.

2. Who can use it.

You can use twekes if you are at least 16 years old and have the legal capacity to enter a binding agreement under Lebanese law. If you're between 16 and 18 you confirm that a parent or guardian is aware of your use.

Some features are reserved for specific roles:

3. Your account.

You're responsible for the email and password you use to sign in, and for any activity that happens under your account. Use a strong, unique password. Tell us straight away if you think someone else is using your account.

We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms or that we believe in good faith are being used to harm other users, partners, or the platform.

4. How you should behave.

twekes is a community for runners in Lebanon and the people who support them. To keep it that, you agree not to:

We reserve the right to remove content, restrict accounts, and report serious violations to the appropriate authorities.

5. Content you post.

You own the things you post on twekes — your run logs, photos, videos, club descriptions, café reviews, messages, and so on (your "Content"). By posting Content you grant twekes a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, distribute, and adapt that Content for the purpose of operating, improving, and promoting the Service.

You can delete your Content at any time. When you delete it, we stop displaying it, but copies may remain in backups for a limited time before they're cycled out. We may keep messages, RSVPs, and partner correspondence as needed for fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and legal compliance.

Don't post Content you don't have the right to share — including copyrighted photos, other people's training plans, or trademarked logos without permission.

Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behaviour. Don't post Content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, threatening, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable, and don't harass or abuse other runners. You can report any post from the ••• menu on it, and block any runner from their profile. We review every report and remove violating Content — and may suspend or remove the accounts responsible — typically within 24 hours.

6. Partner listings.

Partners apply to be listed on twekes by submitting a listing for review. By submitting, a partner confirms that:

twekes admins review every submission and may approve, reject, request changes, or remove a listing at any time. Listings can be edited by the partner from their dashboard at twekes.com/partners; edits send the listing back to the review queue.

During launch, partner listings are free. We may introduce paid placements (e.g. Partner and Anchor tiers) in future. We'll give existing free partners notice and a grace period before any change applies to them.

7. Free service today; paid features tomorrow.

Most of twekes is free for runners — and will stay free for the core experience: finding clubs, joining runs, posting solo runs, messaging, photo posts, and search. We may introduce optional paid features (premium training plans, paid race entries on behalf of race organisers, partner placements, branded merchandise). Anything paid will be clearly marked before you commit.

8. Third-party services we rely on.

twekes runs on a stack of third-party services. By using twekes you accept that your data may flow through these providers as needed to deliver the Service:

See our Privacy Notice for more detail on what's shared, why, and with whom.

9. Coaching, training, and your safety.

Running can be physically demanding. Anything on twekes — training plans, race recommendations, AI coach replies, coach bios, articles — is for general information only and is not a substitute for personalised medical or professional advice. Talk to your doctor before starting a new training plan or signing up for a race, especially if you have any pre-existing condition.

Coaches listed on twekes operate independently — they are not twekes employees. Any service you book with a coach is a contract between you and them; twekes is not party to it.

10. Intellectual property.

The twekes name, logo, wordmark, paper-cream visual identity, product copy, and software are owned by twekes. Don't use them for anything that could confuse runners, partners, or the public about the source of a service. If you'd like to use the press kit, request it at hello@twekes.app.

11. The Service is provided "as is".

We work hard to keep twekes accurate, available, and useful — but we don't guarantee that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for any particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, twekes disclaims all warranties, express or implied.

12. Limits on our liability.

To the maximum extent permitted by Lebanese law, twekes, our team, and our partners will not be liable for:

Where liability cannot legally be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid to twekes in the 12 months immediately preceding the claim — or, if you paid nothing, US$50.

13. You'll indemnify us.

If your use of the Service or your Content causes a claim, loss, or liability for twekes, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from that claim. This doesn't apply to claims caused by our own gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

14. Closing your account.

You can close your account at any time from the app's profile screen or by emailing us. We'll delete your personal data subject to the retention rules in our Privacy Notice. Some data — like messages you sent to other people — may persist with the recipients.

We can close your account if you materially breach these Terms or if we have a reasonable basis to believe your continued use of the Service poses a legal or safety risk.

15. Changes to these Terms.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If the changes are material we'll let you know in the app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. If you don't agree with the new version, you can close your account before the effective date.

16. Governing law and disputes.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lebanon. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Beirut, unless mandatory consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring a claim somewhere else.

17. Contact.

Questions, notices, or service of process should go to hello@twekes.app. We try to reply within two working days.
